CUSTOM BOLUS

Dear Team:

Are you tired of counting the total length slice by slice to cut custom bolus?

There is an alternative way to do it.

Now you can unwrap the planning bolus and map it into a 2-D plane. Then you can use this printout to cut your custom bolus.



The system contains two major parts: deriving bolus 3D surface from TPS (now only Eclipse available) and unwrapping the 3D surface into 2D plane.

1. Deriving bolus 3D surface (OO_Extract_Bolus_V3.pro)
It requires the following 2 files,
(1 )Eclipse structures DICOM export file (bolus data)
(2) Eclipse plan DICOM export file (isocenter information)



2. Unwrapping bolus 3D surface into 2D plane (OO_manual_unwrapping.pro)



Then users can cut the custom bolus according to the above printout.
