BLUE FRIDAY

I usually feel quite happy on Friday, but I am not at this time.

This morning I got a call from my buddies in Taipei. They were on their way to have a bachelor party for one of my best friend. He is going to get married next week. I can imagine how crazy that party is. I guess you guys can't imagine that, so let me describe it.

In this kind of party, we don't drink, we don't smoke, we don't even talk to each other, we don't have fun at all. So you can imagine now how crazy these people are. (This is written for protecting my buddies, to prevent somebody see this and talk to their spouses. That will make my buddies big trouble.)

Anyway, I can feel how excited they were. However, I am so far away from them. I feel so sad and I start to miss Taiwan...

IDL REDUX

Next Monday I need to give a presentation to my colleauges about how to use IDL.

It's been for a while didn't do this. I hope everything will be fine. At this point, it reminds me to say that again, no matter where you go, most of things are all the same.

BLOCK SHOP

This after I stopped by the block machinery shop with my colleague to fix his glasses.

It sounds a little weird, doesn't it?? Anyway, I finally saw how they do the block from the very begining.
1. According to the prescription by physician and the information provied by therapist, they setup the machine to line up the divergence.
2. Cut the styrofoam block.
3. Pour the liquid metal into it. The melt point of this alloy is quite low, around 180F. Wait for cooling down, then the block is ready to put on the block tray.

So you can do any shape of block you want. Something like this,

Last night we were working on water tank measurement.

You guys should know it is fun. Man, I do love this job!!

I thought I was strong enough to live independently.

It turns out that I was just lucky to go through things smoothly. I just have fewer illnesses and difficulties. Thanks GOD to watch after me and thanks those who stay with me and help me out when I was weak.
